Emiliano Grillo (ARG) has won the Charles Schwab Challenge ($8.7 million) on the US Professional Golf (PGA) Tour for the second time in his career.

Grillo carded six birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey in the final round of the tournament at the par-70 Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, on Monday morning (29 September) to finish at 2-under 68. Grillo finished at 8-under-par 272, tied with Adam Shank (USA) for the title in a playoff that went into a second overtime. It was his first victory in seven years and seven months since the Price.com Open in October 2015.메이저놀이터

Grillo held a two-stroke lead going into the final round, but a double bogey on the par-4 18th allowed Sengye and Harry Hall (England) to tie for the lead. Shank made par on the 18th to force overtime, while Hall bogeyed to remain tied for third with Scotty Scheffler (USA).

Grillo and Schauck were unable to decide the winner of the first extra hole on the 18th, but the second extra hole on the 16th (par-3) decided the winner, and Grillo was in luck. Grillo’s tee shot went wide but hit the perimeter of the green and then sloped up the slope to land 1.4 metres from the hole. Shank’s tee shot landed in the rough, and Grillo sank his birdie putt to lift the trophy.

Ahn Byung-hoon, who had consecutive top-10 finishes in rounds one to three, dropped four strokes today with two birdies and six bogeys to finish tied for 21st at 1-under par 279. Kim Si-woo carded two birdies and three bogeys to finish tied for 29th with an even-par 280, while Lee Kyung-hoon was tied for 57th with a five-over-par 285.
