Kim Seong-hyeon (25, Shinhan Financial Group) tied for 32nd on the second day of the PGA Tour Mexico Open (total prize money: $7.7 million).

Kim Sung-hyun tied 1 eagle, 3 birdies and 3 bogeys in the second round of the tournament at Vidanta Vallarta (par 71‧7456 yards) in Vallarta, Mexico on the 29th (Korean time) and hit 2 under par 69.

Kim Seong-hyun, who recorded an interim total of 4 under par 138, was tied for 32nd with Adam Long, Charlie Hoffman (USA), Jonas Blixt, and Vincent Norman (Sweden).

Kim Seong-hyun, who recorded 2-under two days in a row, is aiming for a second top 10 this season following a tie for fourth at the Shriners Children’s Open last October.

Kim Seong-hyun is worthy of aiming for the top 10 for the remaining two days by 4 strokes from the tied 9th place group with 8 under par and 134 strokes.

Kim Seong-hyun, who started the game on the 10th hole, failed to reduce the number of strokes by tying 2 birdies and 2 bogeys until the 4th hole. However, after catching a birdie on the 5th hole (par 3), he succeeded in an eagle on the 6th hole (par 5), quickly reducing 3 strokes. He committed a bogey on the 8th hole (par 4) and unfortunately lost one stroke, but succeeded in raising his ranking by 18 steps from the first round. ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Ahn Byeong-hun (32, CJ Logistics) and Roh Seung-yeol (32, Zibent) tied for 45th with a 3-under-par 139 strokes.

On the other hand, Kang Seong-hun (36, CJ Logistics), who tied for 50th place with Kim Seong-hyun on the first day, was sluggish with a 9-over par of 80, including only three double bogeys, and missed the cut with an interim total of 7-over par of 149.

Since this tournament will be held in Mexico and the Wells Fargo Championship with a total prize of 20 million dollars will be held in North Carolina, USA next week, many of the world’s top players were absent.

Among the famous PGA players, defending champion and this year’s Masters winner, Jon Rahm (Spain), and last year’s runner-up Tony Finau (USA) competed.

Finau cut 7 strokes in the second round alone and took the lead with a 13-under-par 129 in the interim total. Ram was tied for 13th place with an interim total of 7 under par 135 strokes.
