Park Ji-young is on the verge of winning two consecutive championships (total prize money of 1 billion won) on the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour Mediheal and Hankook Ilbo Championships.
In the third round of the tournament held at the Ferrum Club (par 72, 6652 yards) in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do on the 15th, Park Ji-young hit a 3 under par 69 with 1 bogey and 4 birdies. She is the sole lead with a median total of 10-under-par 206. She continued her momentum by driving only 7 birdies in the second round the previous day to tie for third place.
She is one stroke behind Park Min-ji and Park Hyeon-kyung in a tie for second place with a 9-under par of 207 strokes. Park Min-ji raised the ranking by 8 places with 4 birdies without a bogey, and Park Hyun-kyung rose from 3rd to 2nd with 4 birdies and 2 bogeys. 스포츠토토
Ji-Young Park was tied for the lead at 9 under par with Min-Ji Park and Hyeon-Kyung Park, who finished the game first, even before finishing her last hole. However, she put her third shot close to the hole on the 18th hole (par 5) and calmly dropped a birdie putt to push her competitors to second place.
Park Ji-young’s win would mark not only her success in defending her title, but her second win of the season, the first of her career.
