Coach Ime Udoka leads the Houston Rockets (hereafter referred to as Houston).

Houston announced the appointment of coach Udoka through the club’s official SNS on the morning of the 27th (Korean time).

Udoka signed a four-year contract with Houston. He receives $28.5M over four years, $6.75M for the first season, $7M for the second season, $7.25M for the third season and $7.5M for the final season.

Udoka, who led the Boston Celtics to the Finals last season, had an inappropriate relationship with a female staff member at the club. It was a violation of the team code of conduct and he was suspended for one season. ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Udoka, who was asked about this in her first interview with the media, replied, “I already made a statement a few months ago and apologized to people for making Boston difficult.”

“I support Boston’s decision and I still regret what I did,” he said. “This offseason has worked for me in many ways and has given me a chance to reflect and grow.”

“I think these things have made me a better coach and leader, the problem has been solved and I have nothing more to say about it,” he added. Meanwhile, Tilman Fertita, the owner of Houston, announced that he had appointed Udoka to lead the team to a high place. He couldn’t hide his joy, saying, “We put in a lot of effort to get him, and we’re very happy to have just received a shining contract.”

When asked what he thought of the Houston team, Udoka said, “It’s an attractive place for players.” And he praised Kevin Porter Jr., who attended the press conference with him.
